Ringing in 2007 with Some Sports Thoughts

I watched the game today as "the General" won game number 880 today, passing Dean Smith & becoming the winningest coach in the history of Division I College Basketball. Duke's Coach K, a former Knight player and assistant coach, and a man who is respected by all (even Knight haters), commented on the victory by saying that he (Coach K) got his bachelors, masters, and doctorate degree from "Bob Knight University."

And, not to slight baseball today, here's a column I read that feeds my fire of claiming that there still is no game like baseball -- interesting stuff from 2006.
