Thoughts on How Subtle North American Materialism Can Be

1. I realized yesterday we have five ways to heat food: 1) Oven, 2) Stove, 3) Toaster Oven, 4) Microwave Oven, 5) Grill. And that's just normal. How strange that we don't see that as overkill and just plain indulgent.

2. Yesterday at one point the four of us were using four forms of entertainment at once: 1) Tori was playing on the computer, 2) Luc was watching a movie on video, 3) Rebekah was playing the piano, and 4) I was listening to my i-pod. And that's normal as well.

Yep, we should all just shoot ourselves here in America. All these opportunities are just, just plain evil. We ought to feel guilty as hell for ever bein' born in such a materialistic, greedy, whore of a nation. Lord! We're all goin' to hell for such rampant, unrepentant prosperity!

Greg, I noticed that you don't have a George Foreman grill. Would you like one for X-mas?
