Two Great Discoveries For Greg This Week!

Setting aside my quoatations for a moment, I have made two great discoveries in my life this week. They both led to transitions of sorts:

1) I transitioned from my coffee maker to a coffee press.

2) I transitioned from briefs to boxers.

I highly recommend both of those changes (though for different reasons). Why didn't I discover the beauty of either sooner?

1) i transitioned from a bottom freezer refrigerator to a side by side, although not by choice - the first one quit working!

2) if i mentioned the "unmentionables" - for instance, transitioning to g-strings, people might be appauled, but greg talks about his underwear and it is no big deal!

3) what the hell is a "coffee press"?

I won't comment on the garments, but I will on the coffee press :) -- it's this deal where you put the coffee grounds in the bottom, pour boiling water in, then "press" down a filtering doo-hickey over it all. Somehow it makes the coffee blend very nicely. My mom gave me the thing a year ago, and I just now got around to trying it. Very nice.

Regarding boxers…. As Sir William Wallace said: “F R E E E D O M!!!!”

That was my transition last year.

The coffee press is a great thing. Somehow, the coffee tastes better and I can see no good reason why. Why does the subject of underwear bring us all so close together? Can we announce Greg's change at Apex tomorrow? I know Joe Boyd made the transition a year or two ago. He blogged about it. Tommy is stuck in the middle. I hope I don't get in trouble for that.

I've learned something about my friends . . . the most comments I've ever gotten on a blog entry came from talking about underwear and coffee! I guess there's something cool about that.

Ahhh...the joy of boxers. I believe I tried to tell you a few years ago. Ernie tried to convert me in college, but alas, we must all come to salvation at our own time...

Hey Tommy - care to enlighten us on how it feels to be "stuck" in the middle? Usually being “stuck” and underwear don’t go hand in hand. Umm… nevermind.
