Rain
it's like a good midwestern snowstorm when it rains here in vegas. streets get shut down and washed out, people drive their cars into disastrous situations, businesses close down (rebekah was turned away from the grocery store today because the power was out), and the television weathermen go into full disaster reporting mode. reminds me of childhood blizzards back in the heartland.

I was just telling my kids the other day about being off school for snow days. They had never heard of such a crazy thing. I get the feeling they're about to find out...
